The technical thinking behind the work

A short set of primary manufacturer and industry references behind the explanations on this website.

Cable blowing

Plumettaz describes cable jetting equipment for installing telecommunications cable in preinstalled ducts. Its technical paper on intelligent jetting discusses controlled feed and installation parameters. These sources explain the method; they are not statements about the make, model or capability of Light Logic’s equipment.

Splicing and termination

The Fibre Optic Association explains the distinction between connector termination and splicing, including the use of factory-terminated pigtails. Leviton describes common field termination approaches. These references also help explain why the fibre type, connector format and polish type need to suit the system.

Testing and interpretation

The FOA testing guide covers continuity, polarity and end-to-end loss. Its OTDR guide explains trace interpretation and reference fibres. ITU-T G.650.3 discusses test methods for installed singlemode links, including bidirectional event analysis.

Apply the requirements of the actual project

These links provide background. Installation limits, test methods and acceptance criteria need to follow the cable and equipment manufacturer guidance and the requirements agreed for the specific network. Referencing an organisation does not imply Light Logic holds its certification, endorsement or membership.

The website’s generated images are illustrations rather than records of completed Light Logic projects. They do not identify a specific machine model or equipment inventory.
